Well, I'm sure the BW Tour DVD sales will be high. Lot of people was looking for it. And Arashi DVD sales are pretty high in general.

I know! I was so disappointed when I heard that it might not make it, but now it is... WOW! Nakai, Kitamura, and Kuriyama are superb, but you can really say the same for the rest of the cast too! From Ebina's family to her creepy stalker and the rest of the team, you really can't help but enjoy their performances! But, like you said, Nakai really is magic! SMAP is certainly a group effort, but it takes a good leader to make sure the group is able to stay strong... as seen elsewhere...

Sold me on ItteQ! Just love Becky (she's so cute!), and Morisanchu are great! Saw Murikami in Buso no Hitomi ni Koishiteru and, really, she's good! Seen Imoto-chan on... something else before and she was just fun and I think I've seen some of the others too... and, well, Tegoshi? Who wouldn't want to see him doing supid things? But, I just love wacky variety shows, and how can you beat world travel with some stupidity!

I tried watching Bartender, but eventually gave up because it just didn't really pull me in and while My Girl was kind of cute, meh, so I know what you mean. Aiba's trying, but he still has a long way to go before he reaches good actor status... kind of like someone else... <ahem>.

Thought Takenouchi was great in Boss, but watching this is like... he really IS that good! And I think he and Emi-san make such a cute couple!</ahem>

Before they can even make it into the senbatsu, they need to work hard to join a team first and that's what Yui did. She practiced even more than the required hours and stayed after in the theater. Even Mariko compared her work ethic to Takamina. that's the only reason why she was so quickly promoted because the fans liked her work ethic and because she already gained fans while in the theater, they start pushing her in AKB shows.

Well, I'm still a fan of Arashi, as it were, (love 'Your Eyes', more meh towards 'Face Down'), I just don't really participate in the fandom or fanboy over them any more. So, still enjoy the boys and all, just really put off by the hyperbole and viciousness that I've encountered. But, as you said, there are defensive fans everywhere, even in the AKB fandom, and that can also be off-putting. I mean, AKB aren't gods or anything... okay, well, maybe DEMIGODS, but not gods...

But, maybe precisely because I am a fanboy my degree of fanboyness might be the reason why I'm more lukewarm... I like Arashi for their music, dramas, etc. but not because I think they're babes. Not, of course, that there is anything wrong with thinking such - I mean, as an AKB fan I think all the girls are just so CUTE!! - and not that the ONLY reason Arashians like the boys is because they're cute, but such definitely has a contributing factor to it (I mean, talented AND good looking, or just talented?) and really... as much as I like Arashi, I think it would just be so totally gross if I thought they were hot XD
